Adrian Peterson has struggled this season with fumbles and after a disastrous game last week, the Vikings know, now more than ever, the importance of ball security. Hold on to the ball and you could be on your way to an NFC North Division title. Fumble the ball and you may very well be heading home for the season.

Peterson had taken action this week, in order to improve his ball security. No, he didn’t switch up his mechanics. He actually spent the week with a football. By carrying a football around with him, Peterson felt that he would “get a better feel of the ball or whatnot.” He further stated that his ball security issues are centered around mental, not mechanical, difficulties.

The Vikings hope that Peterson has fixed his ball security difficulties by kickoff tomorrow morning, as they will be hosting the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. If Peterson has a big game, Minnesota will almost surely win not only the game, but the NFC North division.
