What’s the Point?

Next year, the Pro Bowl will procede the Super Bowl, which at first sounds like a good idea since it was always a bit of an anticlimactic ending to the season. It sounds good, until you realize that none of the players from the teams that are in the Super Bowl will be playing. Of course they won’t play, because they wouldn’t want to be injured in a meaningless game with the Super Bowl on the line. But, how is this right? Often, the teams who make it to the Super Bowl have the most Pro Bowl calibar players, thus the reason why they were so good. So, without these top players playing, the Pro Bowl becomes a bit pointless. Instead it being a game for the best of the best, it becomes a game for the best of the rest.

This is ridiculous. What are they thinking? Nobody is going to want to play in the ProBowl that goes to the SuperBowl. I was going to write a post about this but time has gotten away from me.
