Just a few short days ago, the Georgetown Hoyas were seen as the favorite to come out of the Big East conference on top, many were even saying that they could be a number 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Well, the Hoyas were brought back to reality via their Big East rival, 3rd ranked Pittsburgh. Pitt was in the lead virtually the entire game and they came out with the easy victory, 70-54. Dejuan Blair, who had 20 points off of the bench, definitely played an integral role in the Panthers victory. The Panthers are now 14-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Pitt will now have 8 days off, as they will look to stay undefeated against St. John’s on Sunday, January 11.

UPDATE: There was even more drama in the Big East today, as 10th ranked Notre Dame was upset by St. John’s.
