Vikings In the Market for a QB?

After his disastrous game against Philadelphia, Tarvaris Jackson looks like he will be heading back to the bench. In his end-of-the-season news conference, Vikings head coach Brad Childress made it clear that Minnesota does not have a number 1 quarterback.

Their options would be slim; however, pretty much anyone that they could find would probably be a better short-term move than keeping Jackson in as the starter. The Vikings number one choice would likely be Matt Cassel, who was very impressive this season; but, I doubt that the Patriots will easily let him go. Their next option would be Seattle’s Matt Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck has been injury-prone throughout his career; but, he is still a much more consistent quarterback than Jackson. Other free-agents would include Kerry Collins, Kurt Warner, Jeff Garcia, Dan Orlovsky, and Chris Simms.

I think they will go to the draft again. They have a high a pick in the 20s. Almost all QBs going into the draft will still be there, excluding Matthew Stafford. They will probably go with Chase Daniel in the 3rd round.
