For the past three weeks, it’s been anyone’s guess as to who would be the favorite in the Big East. First it was Georgetown, then UConn, and most recently it had been Pittsburgh. The Panthers were undefeated and boasted an impressive win over Big East rival Georgetown. Today, Pittsburgh faced a surging Lousiville team, who had recently defeated Villanova and Notre Dame, and the Cardinals tool care of business in this one.

It was a back-and-forth game between the defensive powerhouses; but, in the end, it was the Cardinals that were able to tough out the big victory. Louisville had four players in double figures, most notable of which was Terrance Williams who had 20 pts, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Louisville has now won 5 games in a row and 3-straight against ranked opponents. Next week, they have two road games against Rutgers and 8th ranked Syracuse.
