When the playoffs began, the Arizona Cardinals were the team that every expert seemed sure would lose in the first round. When they defeated the Atlanta Falcons, it was seen as a lucky win and, again, everyone was sure that the Carolina Panthers would take care of the NFC West Champions. But, Kurt Warner and his talented offense have slammed all of their critics by defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 32-25, ensuring them a spot in the Super Bowl.

In the first half of the game alone, Warner connected with his favorite target, Larry Fitzgerald, for 1, 9, and 62-yard touchdowns.Warner was very impressive, as was 21/28 for 279 yards and 4 touchdowns, 3 of which were to Fitzgerald. The Cards new found running attack was also on display, as Edgerrin James ran for 73 yards.

After the game, an eccstatic Warner said “I want to say Arizona Cardinals and Super Bowl in the same sentence. The Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl. How about it?” The Cardinals, now Super Bowl bound, are no longer the joke of the NFL (which should give the Lions some hope).

Arizona will face the winner of the Pittsburgh Steelers-Baltimore Ravens game in the Super Bowl.
