At this time of the year, the European Tour is the place to be for a professional golfer. This week, the tour is in Doha, Qatar for the Commercialbank Qatar Masters Presented by Dolphin Energy, and with two rounds in the books, it’s South African Louis Oosthuizen who is at -12, which is good enough for a 3 shot lead over a very talented field.

In the second round, Oosthuizen had a bogey-free round of 65, which included birdies on the 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 15th, and 16th holes. After the second round, Oosthuizen said “I would have definitely taken a three-shot lead after the second round. I am playing well and I am very happy.”

The 26-year-old, who finished 2nd to Paul Casey last week in Abu Dhabi, is followed by Scotsman Andrew Coltart who is at -9. World number 2 and the current leader of the Race to Dubai, Sergio Garcia, is currently 8 shots back at -4, which is three shots ahead of the two-time defending champion Adam Scott. The notable players who did not make the cut, include Paul Casey, Justin Rose, Boo Weekley, and Colin Montgomerie.
