From the beginning of the game, it was clear that the Pittsburgh Steelers were the better team. They were able to march down the field with relative ease and their defense was generally able to stop the Arizona Cardinals. At one point, the Steelers led twenty to seven, but that was when the Cardinals did what they do best. Arizona had been the underdogs throughout the playoffs and just as they looked to be down-and-out, they charged back and nearly made the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. That comeback, however, was shattered when Santonio Holmes made a miraculous 6-yard touchdown catch with thirty-five seconds remaining in the game.

Both Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald played incredibly, it just wasn’t enough. Nevertheless, this was certainly a breakthrough year for Arizona.

This was the Steeler’s sixth Super Bowl victory, which is the most of any NFL team. Furthermore, this is their second Super Bowl win in the past four seasons.
