Norwegian Ole Einar Bjoerndalen Wows the Crowd in Trondheim

Biathlon_WC_Antholz_2006_01_Film3_MassenDamen_22 by GAP089.The great Norwegian biathelete was dominant in front of the home fans in Trondheim, as him and Michel Slesingr of the Czech Republic were the only competitors who shot perfectly. His spot-on accuracy allowed Bjoerndalen to blow away the field and win the 15 km mass start by 40 seconds over Simon Eder of Austria.

Bjoerndalen also won the 12.5 km pursuit on Saturday. He now holds a massive 71 point lead in the overall standings over Poland’s Tomasz Sikora.
