Watch: Federer’s Frustration Against Djokovic

By now, you probably know that second seeded Roger Federer lost to third seeded Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami 3-6, 6-2, 6-3. Federer looks to be in control early, but Djokovic rallied and Federer’s forehand let him down on several occasions. It was another solid win for Djokovic who had struggled this season after a racquet change.

During the match, however, Federer had a rare outburst where he threw his racquet after netting a forehand. Federer was always cool, calm, and collected when he was the number one player in the world, so it is unusual to see that he would react in this manner. Nevertheless, Federer is a classy guy and I’m sure that he won’t make a habit of this.

Djokovic will face 4th seeded Andy Murray in the final.
