ATP Miami: Murray Crushes Djokovic in the Final

Andy Murray by mirsasha.

Andy Murray has been one of the hottest players on tour this season and he cemented his status as one of the elite players when he defeated third seeded Novak Djokovic in the final of the Sony Ericsson Open 6-2, 7-5. Murray was strong throughout the tournament and he faced few hiccups en route to the title. Djokovic, who has struggled this season, was able to survive a tough test in the semifinals against Roger Federer, but today he just didn’t look like himself, as he struggled to find his form.

This was definitely a statement match because the fourth ranked Scotsman will be looking to overtake Djokovic for the number 3 ranking during the upcoming clay court season.
