We’re halfway through Wimbledon and some players have already shown that they have a chance to win the title. Haven’t watched any coverage yet? Have only seen a few matches? Well, here is a list of who to keep an eye on during the final week of the Championships Wimbledon.

1) Roger Federer- He had a small hiccup in the third round when he dropped a set, but he has, otherwise, been solid.

2) Andy Murray: The hometown favorite has demolished his last two foes.

3) Novak Djokovic: He has quietly moved through the draw with ease.

4) Tomas Berdych: He impressively dismissed Davydenko 6-2, 6-3, 6-2, in the third round and he can give Roddick a run for his money in the fourth.

5) Lleyton Hewitt: He has resurged his career as of late. This has been an impressive showing for the Aussie, who dismissed del Potro in straight sets in the second round.

1) Venus Willams: The defending champion has been in great form.

2) Serena Williams: She has struggled a bit this year, but she has looked solid during this tournament.

3) Caroline Wozniacki: She recently won Eastborne and is looking like she may be ready to win her first Grand Slam.

4) Victoria Azarenka: She has been impressive in the Grand Slams this season and she is looking to improve upon her quarterfinal showing at Roland Garros.

5) Ana Ivanovic: She has enjoyed a return back to form at Wimbledon. Her serve still isn’t fantastic, but it’s getting the job done.

really? Federer has only been solid? thats the best you’ll give him? He has looked far more impressive than the other men you mentioned.

Oh, and you said Serena has struggled this year? Try Venus. She has struggled FAR more than Serena, although Venus has looked slightly better this tournament though. and why not mention Elena dementieva, who has lost the fewest games of anybody so far.

luv the blog, but im sensing a little bias againt a few players.

Federer has played well, but Berdych has probably been the most impressive to me, thus far. It’s only because he is extremely inconsistent that I didn’t put him higher on the list. I definitely think that Federer is beatable.

Venus and Serena have both struggled this season. It seems like Venus has done better in some of the smaller tournaments, like Dubai, whereas Serena has done better in the Grand Slams this season. This is Wimbledon, though, so I think we both know which of the two sisters owns the green lawns of SW19.

Dementieva could have easily been #4 or #5 on that list, but she has likely lost the least number of games because she hasn’t faced any stiff competition yet. Plus, she would be one of the first people that I would expect to crack under pressure because her serve is still a huge weakness in her game.

yeah, i guess Berydch had been very impressive. Federer looks beatable to but only by Murray though I think.

And Dementieva hasn’t played tough competition, so ill give u that one. But I think that Serena and Venus both have great shots to win the title. But, honestly, Wozniacki doesnt look ready to win a grand slam. not nearly.
