Boise St. Stays Perfect, Wins Fiesta Bowl

It didn’t have the same glitz as their victory over Oklahoma in 2007, but it ended with the same result. In the battle of the unbeatens, the Boise St. Broncos defeated the TCU Horned Frogs 17-10. The Broncos offense has been explosive all season, but it was their defense that proved to be the difference in the game, as they were able to hold TCU’s offense to 161 yards less than their season average of 469 yards per game. It was a fake punt by Broncos punter Kyle Brotzman followed by three short passes and a 2-yard run for a touchdown by Boise St.’s Doug Martin that gave the Broncos a lead that they would not relinquish.

Boise St. is now surely guaranteed a spot in the final rankings, which will be their highest ranking in school history.
