Posting is going to be a bit sporadic over the next week….things are pretty busy right now.

Congrats to Dallas, Baltimore, NY Jets, and Arizona for advancing in the NFL playoffs and props to Tennessee for knocking off #1 ranked Kansas in NCAAB.

That’s What He Said…

“First and foremost, not only do I want to fight Manny Pacquiao, I want to whip his punk ass.”

I’m Back!

Hello Everyone,

As you may have probably noticed, I haven’t posted on here in quite a while. I’m really sorry about that, but it’s been a busy few months for me. In the past six months or so, I have finished the first quarter of what will be my final year of college and have gotten engaged, so school and wedding planning have taken precedence over this blog. During this time away, however, I have realized that I have missed having an outlet to creatively express my views on a number of sports related topics, so I am going to resume with this blog effective immediately. I want to thank those of you who have stuck with me during this busy time in my life and I welcome those of you who are only beginning to join in the fun.

I must say that I’m very excited about Schumacher’s return to F1, the NFL playoffs (which haven’t started yet but my team is already in, so I can be excited), and the Winter Olympics in February, among other things. I’m glad to be back and I can’t wait to hear all of your comments.

134th Preakness Stakes: Rachel Alexandra

Breaking News: Rachel Alexandra Wins the Preakness Stakes

May 16, 2009 1 comment

Rachel Alexandra won the Preakness Stakes over Mine that Bird and Musket Man to become only the fifth filly to win and the first in 85 years.

The filly was near the front from the start, whereas Mine that Bird had to charge from last place on his way to a second place finish.

Calvin Borel is the first jockey to win the first two legs of the Triple Crown on two different horses. He was much more subdued after the victory because he felt as if she was always going to win the race. He said, after the race, that she struggled with the surface, but she was still able to get the victory.“She’s the greatest horse I’ve ever been on in my life,” said Borel.
